Blue Windows

Blue Windows
39"x 39"

It is rather nice to have small projects to work on.  When I am juggling multiple projects, it is rewarding to have some sense of completion!  And so, I introduce to you this little quilt, about the size of a baby quilt.  Simply pieced, simply quilted in one long spiral.  I also pieced a lovely back for it.  You have seen this one before on this post (it is near the bottom, and the orientation is flipped)!
And there is nothing quite like the light of an overcast day to make your quilting stitches and the colors pop!

Meanwhile, I have had a number of projects in the hopper which are near and dear to my heart.  The finished works are not supposed to be shown yet.  The two exhibits are both through SAQA; one is Radical Elements, and the other is Earth Stories.  I will be telling you a lot more about both of these projects in the weeks and months to come.  For now I will tell you that it is such a huge honor to be selected for these exhibits.  It is a first for me to be juried into an exhibit that I get to make new work for.  Very exciting, and hoping to live up to expectations!

I like the back just as much as the front - it is a whole other beautiful quilt! I love the spiral quilting too. Great job!

Hi Kathy~
Very nice quilt~ I also love the spiral quilting. I think that is become one of my favorite for a change, and I'll have to try it on the machine. I've done it by hand before~ ♥♥♥
