Starting Monday, January 10, 2011, the Austin Area Quilt Guild (www.aaqg.org) will exhibit quilts made by its members in the Corridor of Art. More than 40 quilts will be on display through Friday, March 4th.  The quilt exhibit will include a full range of quilting styles from traditional to folk art, contemporary to fine art. Travis County’s recently acquired office building @ 700 Lavaca Street is the site of a quilt exhibit that will hang in the building’s Corridor of Art. The Corridor of Art is a venue in the lower level walkway that connects 700 Lavaca to the building’s parking garage. The Corridor of Art hosts several exhibits by local artists every year.  AAQG members and the general public are invited to the opening reception for the exhibit on Friday, January 14th, from 5pm – 8pm.
