Yeah! It's finally my month!

Yeah! It's finally my month!
I've been waiting all year for it to be my turn in the IQA Award-Winning Quilts 2008 Calendar. I couldn't understand why they picked my quilt for December, but upon opening to the page it is obvious now, so much red and green, and this quilt is cheerful. Congrats Little Cities, another day in the sun!

...plus those squares give the allusion of each being a gift ... a very special gift of good thoughts and creativity.

What a great quilt Kathy.
It's a great feeling to be able to share your work with so many people.
And I still remember that wonderful chocolate cake you baked for the dinner at Frances's!
It was out of this world good.

Hi Kathy! I was in the quilt shop hoping to lift my mood from a bad case of broken heart when I saw the quilt calendar and was struck by your quilt! I took their calendar right off the wall, and examined it closely, asking if they had any more of those – I would buy it just for that one photo! (No, they were sold out almost a year ago) looked for more information inside, wrote down your name and the title of the piece and came right home to google you. That brought me to your journal blog which I read with delight, and where I left you a note, and then I found this one with more recent posts. God bless you dear one! I found a little refuge at the quilt shop, and engaged in some color/retail therapy. Stumbling across you and “Little Cities” has been the highlight of my day. I’ve been inspired by its exceptional beauty and order! Bless your heart dear one, your color and beauty have moved me. Thank you for the inspiration!!!!!
