Strike offs

Strike offs
They're here! The very first strike offs of my very first fabric line. I am so excited, I can't stand it! And, a month ago, I didn't even know what a strike off was. I love learning though. And, I'll probably get this wrong, but it has something to do with the first run, or the first print of your fabric designs. I'd really like to see it in action to fully understand how they take my idea and make fabric out of it. What to see some? Clothworks has posted my new line on their website (follow the link "meet the designers"), and the photos of the strike offs are on their blog. You know how a new mom checks out her baby, counting the fingers and toes? That's what I was doing after the package arrived. I ripped it open, then lovingly searched through the entire contents laying each piece out on my bed, arranging the patterns together, rearranging different colors, then rearranging again. Oh yeah, let's not forget, checking my name on the selvage! It's all good!

Kathy!!! Fabulous!! Love it soooo much!
Went immediately to the "locate a shop in your area" part of the site; super excited as 6 shops in my city carry Clothworks... Then I saw it won't be in the stores til summer!!
Waaah!
But rest assured I will be in line!
Great fabrics! Congratulations!

Thanks Skye! Sorry you were not able to get the fabrics yet. I guess I should have mentioned that they won't be on the shelves until June. Sorry!!

OMG, Kathy, that is SO cool! I went and looked at the pix on the blog, and they're beautiful. I said I wasn't buying any more fabric till I made a dent in my stash, but I may make an exception for this! Can't wait for June...

How exciting to have your work and name on a line of fabric. You must be flying high. It's a wonderful, fun looking collection and so YOU. Congratulations!

Linda,
The fabrics will only be available through stores (in June). You would have to call or visit the store and ask if they sell fabrics by Clothworks, and if they are carrying my line, Urban Landscapes. Or you could call now, when they are placing their orders to make sure they get some!! :) Just thinking ahead!
